Whew! One thing’s for certain: Hosting a mini-session is always a treat! Despite all the hard work that goes into planning, it always pays off in the end.
My most recent mini session day took place downtown Indianapolis at the canal. The theme was BEST FRIEDS and I had a few clients come in withing the cold morning hours sessions. And this group was one of my favorites!
All of these wonderful women attended Franklin College in Franklin, Indiana together and have remained friends years after!
This group of ladies know how to have a fun time and we did just that during their session!
Brook had this to say about her session: With Lisa, we were able to just be us. She wasn’t worried about a “perfect” picture. Out group loves to laugh and have fun, so that was what we were looking for. She make the session so enjoyable and captured some great candid moments.
As you can see from the photos below, we all had a great time!
Oh how I just adore the family I’m blogging about today. I’m lucky enough to say I’ve photographed Madi senior portraits! I truly can’t believe it’s taken me this long to share their photos!
This family truly is great! Madi is off to college. Stephany is right behind her and AJ is not far behind! Chris and Steve are some of the sweetest people you can meet! (Trust me I should know since I injured myself at the first session and they took my car home for me!)
And, it goes without saying, Chris has become a friend over the last couple of years. It’s hard to not become friends with someone like Chris! Dad and husband Steve was so much fun to work with! Not everyone is comfortable in front of the camera and Steve had his way of warming up that I wish more people would do! Have fun with it!!
When Chris contacted me to take their photos, I don’t think I could have scheduled them fast enough.
And as far the day of the shoot, I had so much fun! They had a pretty great time, too.
“My favorite part was watching Steve relax as the session went on. He hates having his picture taken and posing but Lisa was awesome at making him feel comfortable. He was actually too comfortable and was goofing off so much it was hard to get a good photo,” says Chris.
Okay, enough text. Check out the wonderful Beil family!
Welcome back, everyone!
I had a fabulous session with the Hall family. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – I truly have the best clients ever! This family was no exception, either. This is a very outgoing family who loves bike rides and spending time together.
We met at a local farm in Bargersville. I loved shooting at this location because of the trees and barn.
For our shoot, the Hall’s didn’t want to be matchy but coordinated and I think they did an amazing job doing this.
It truly was an amazing photo shoot. And if any of you are considering a family session or are prepping for an upcoming session, heed the words of Lee Ann: Don’t overthink it, don’t worry about matching. Go, let the kids wear what they want and have the real “you” captured. Those are the photos that will mean the most. Solid advise Lee Ann!!
Okay, on to pictures of the Hall Family!
